The seventh edition of Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) is being held at the Museum of Islamic Art Park on Doha’s Corniche, Katara and The Pearl-Qatar from March 22 to 28, 2016.

The annual event, organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Qatar Airways, showcases a wide range of restaurant and café experiences, offering great value and authentic flavours, and catering to various communities.

Qatar International Food Festival was a huge success in the previous years, attracting thousands of visitors.

The festival offers an opportunity for everyone to taste different cuisines, including five-star dishes at affordable prices.

Apart from tasting great food, visitors can also enjoy a wide range of entertainment activities that will take place at venue.

  • Entry to all the three venues is FREE and open to all.

Katara

The Pearl-Qatar

Parking

Parking at MIA Park is limited to VIP and media. Hence alternative parking is arranged at two locations :

  • Parking A : MIA Park (VIP & Media only)
  • Parking B : Opposite Doha Marriott Hotel
  • Parking C : Old Doha Airport Arrivals Parking

Free shuttle buses will be transporting people to the venue from the old Doha Airport Arrivals Parking.

There is also a parking basement at Souq Waqif that visitors can use, and then you can cross over the road and come in through MIA Park entrance.

How to reach from parking locations

  • Free shuttle bus service from Public Parking C to MIA Park
  • QAR 35 one way limousine service available from Public Parking B and C to MIA Park
  • QAR 25 per person single stop water shuttle between MIA Park and Katara or between MIA Park and The Pearl-Qatar. Service only operates from 4-9 pm daily

Food Trucks

The Pearl-Qatar adds a new, urban feel to the Festival with food trucks from around Qatar and the region. The trucks are stationed at Qanat Quartier.

Food trucks from Qatar and across the region are gathered at QIFF 2016 to serve a range of delicious treats, ideal both for experienced foodies and visitors keen to try something new.

Some of the participating food trucks include : Burgeri, Al Tabkha, Wafflemeister, Pick N Shake, Potato Hut, Al Maha Burger, Buffalo Express, Grill 2 Go, Burger 3al6ayer, Cafe Station (all from Qatar), Areej Café from KSA, Rotisserie from KSA and Bo3ram from Kuwait.

At Katara Cultural Village, festival-goers can experience popular food from multiple international cultures along the Katara Beach, enjoy entertainment and attend sessions at a mini live cooking theatre.

Social media contest

Vistors at the QIFF will have a chance to win two air tickets to any destination in China by sharing their festival stories on social media.

The most compelling and distinctive entry capturing the true essence of the festival will win two return Business tickets to Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong or Shanghai.
