1. Red Meat
Eating too much-processed meat is very dangerous to your heart and increase the risk of CVD’S. 5 slices make up 252 calories, 22 grams of fat and almost 1,000 mgs of sodium. Eating too much-processed meat has been linked to high cholesterol, obesity, and high blood pressure leads to heart attack.
2. Butter croissants/khaari/baked puffs
One measly butter croissant soars with a calorie content of 231 plus 12 grams of fat. Most of the fat being TRANS FAT, which is detrimental to the arteries. The innocent-looking puffs/khaaris/croissants are packed with these trans fats responsible for heart diseases and abnormal lipids.
Doughy, pepperoni, cheese-covered processed pizzas contain high amounts of saturated fat and are super high in sodium. These two are very dangerous for your heart. One medium cheese pizza gives 760 calories, Saturated Fat 3.7g, Sodium 440mg and Cholesterol 18mg.
A double cheeseburger clocks in at 650 calories, 35 grams of fat, 12.8 grams of saturated fat, and 921 grams of sodium.
Drinking just one can of pop a day can increase your chances of a heart attack by a shocking 20-per cent. 100 ml soda gives 40 calories, sodium 4 mg, caffeine 8 mg.
6. Instant Noodles
Instant noodle dish contains surprising drawbacks per one serving. This cheap dinner fix is a sodium bomb with 1,760 mgs of sodium. It has 371 calories and 13 grams of fat, almost half of which are saturated.
7. Ice Cream
Half a cup of this dessert is committing to 282 calories and 69 mgs of sodium, but in this small portion is 18 grams of fat – 11.7 grams of the saturated kind.
8. Butter, Margarine and Mayonaise
These two are high in the saturated fats and sodium levels, that elevate “bad” LDL cholesterol, leading to plaque buildup in arteries. 1 tablespoon butter contains 210 calories, sodium 3 mg, fat 11.52 g.
9. French Fries
Frying up your food is sure tasty, but bad fat or saturated fat is what turns a potato into a time bomb for Cancer, Diabetics and CVD’s. The bad fats or saturated fats are directly linked to the clogging of your arteries, that cause greater damage to your heart. 100g French fries gives 312 calories, 2.3g saturated fat, 210 mg sodium.
Movie theaters add saturated fat and salt to their popcorn, while packaged microwave popcorn usually contains a large amount of saturated fat and salt. Some microwave popcorn also contains artery-clogging trans fat. The excess calories contained in most commercial popcorn products contribute to obesity, which increases your risk of heart disease and blood pressure. One cup popcorn contains 135 calories.
