Qatar MoI announces National Day celebrations for expatriates

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior (MoI) has lined up an array of events to be held as part of the Qatar National Day celebrations for Asian expatriates at Asian Town, Wakra Sports Club, Rayyan Sports Club and Barwa Workers Recreation Complex at Al Khor. The events on December 17 and December 18 are being coordinated by the Organising Committee of the Associated Activities of Qatar National Day (QND)2016 Celebrations. The events were announced by Major Mubarak Salem Bouainain, Assistant Director of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior at a press conference held at Civil Defence Officers’ Club yesterday. “We are organising seven events in four venues with the aim of providing a safer environment for the communities residing in Qatar to take part in the National Day celebrations and enjoy the whole day in happiness and joy,” said Major Nasser Abdullah al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of QND Celebrations Security…

Shreya Ghoshal to perform live in Doha next month

Popular Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal will be performing live in Doha on Friday 13th January 2017, at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiya Arena. Eid Al-Adha Fest to offer entertainment for all ages

Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has announced the line-up of shows, activities for the Eid Al-Adha 2015 Festival, which starts on the first day of Eid and continues for five days. The Festival will offer a variety of daily family entertainment shows that will rotate between malls, from the traditional Ardha dance and the amazing balancing acts of the famed “Snoopy,” a finalist on Arabs Got Talent, to the amusing mini-stage show titled Mr. Dropsy and the Bell-Boy. Qatar Indian Football Forum announces Inter District Tournament

Qatar Indian Football Forum (QIFF) in association with Qatar Football Association (QFA) jointly announced the schedule of the 9th Qatar Kerala Inter District Football Tournament. The tournament will kick off at Doha Stadium on September 17, 2015, at 6pm. Entry will be free for public. A total of 16 football teams, which represent various districts of the state of Kerala in India, will be participating in this year’s tournament. The matches of tournament will be held on Thursdays and Fridays until November 13. The final will be held at Qatar Sports Club stadium. QIFF is an expatriate organisation to promote sports and football events among Indian community in Qatar. All India Sevens Tournament to feature 16 teams from Qatar

The 1st All India Sevens Football Tournament for Indian expatriate community in Doha will be held on 6th and 7th of August 2015 at Al Wakrah Stadium. The tournament, being organised by Nadham Doha, will feature 16 prominent expatriate Indian football teams from Qatar. This would be the first stage for the teams to show off their talent as the expatriate football season for this year is about to kick off. Entry to the event is free and open for public. Katara to host Kathak dance to mark India’s Independence Day

Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation, in collaboration with the Indian embassy in Qatar, will host a special show dedicated to Kathak – an Indian classical dance form – on August 5 at 7 pm. The event will be staged at Katara Drama Theatre (Building 16) to mark the 69th Independence Day of India, which falls on August 15.
