The Indian Embassy in Qatar has set April 7 as a deadline for receiving information about Indian students who are struggling to get admission in schools.
“The collected information will be submitted to the Ministry concerned within a stipulated time-frame. Information on admission issues may be sent at the designated e-mail (email@example.com) by April 7 2018,” said the Embassy in a statement.
Earlier, the Embassy had announced plans to take up the admission issue with local authorities concerned to solve the problem.
As per the earlier statement, parents are requested furnish the following details:
- Name of the student and QID number
- Age of the student
- Nationality of the student
- School desired
- Class/Grade desired
- Father’s name
- Contact telephone.
The Embassy took up with initiative after it received many requests for assistance, citing non-availability of seats in Indian schools in Doha.
Recent changes in age-limit for KG admission has raised the demand for school seats. Although Indian schools have received age-limit relaxation for this year, many parents are concerned that they may not be able to secure admissions next year..
The new academic year in Indian schools in Qatar is is starting this week.
