As a special tribute to the finest of India’s dining and culture experiences, Mövenpick Hotel Doha is hosting a 10-day Indian Food Festival that will run until 29 April, 2017.
The event will take place at Seasons Restaurant in Mövenpick Hotel, Corniche Road (See map here) commencing daily at 6.30 pm until 11.00 pm, for only QAR 99 per person.
The festival will give visitors the opportunity to try dishes from different parts of India, whilst enjoying a festive atmosphere.
The opening ceremony of the festival on Thursday was supported by the Embassy of India in Qatar, and in the presence of Counsellor Rajesh Kamble.
“India is known as the land of unity among diversities. The culinary feast that has been offered here is an excellent representation of our diverse cultures and regional tastes,” Kamble said during the inauguration ceremony.
Guests will savour the old world opulence of northern India’s food, including butter chicken and masala, the surprisingly amazing taste of southern India’s biryani and the traditional flair of central India’s tandoori, amongst other crowd pleasers.
A bountiful and colourful buffet features the marinades, curries and base sauces from India.
Finally, a sumptuous dessert station tempts diners with Indian sweets, including jalebi, halwa and authentic sweets.
Designed to celebrate its fabulously diverse range of food, the Indian Food Festival is the perfect event for families and foodies to enjoy dinner whilst discovering many gastronomic delights from the Indian peninsula.
A recent addition to the Mövenpick Hotel Doha team, Indian Chef Benoy has recreated the traditional dishes with an international touch, showcasing the finest ingredients and recipes.
Having worked with leading hotels like The Oberoi Mumbai, Al-Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh and Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, Chef Benoy has brought his repertoire of experience and skills to Seasons kitchen.
“The right technique, correct seasoning and simple ingredients in a beautiful presentation are all you need,” he said.
During the festival, Seasons Restaurant will be offering special discounts and great meal deals for the upcoming Ramadan.
