Photos: Kalyan Jewellers makes a grand entry into Qatar

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan and leading south Indian film stars Nagarjuna, Prabhu Ganesan, and Manju Warrier, all brand ambassadors of Kalyan Jewellers, went on a whirlwind tour of Qatar on Friday to open seven outlets at as many locations.

While Nagarjuna, Prabhu Ganesan, and Manju Warrier inaugurated Kalyan Jewellers outlets at Al Khor, Barwa Village and Abu Hamour in the forenoon, Amitabh Bachchan – on his first visit to Qatar – joined them for the opening of the branches at Gharrafa, Al Rayyan, Asian Town, and HBK Signal in the afternoon.

Kalyan Jewellers chairman and managing director T S Kalyanaraman and executive directors Rajesh Kalyanaraman and Ramesh Kalyanaraman were also present along with the celebrities.

Large crowds had gathered at all locations to have a glance of their favourite stars as well as to avail the inaugural offers from the jewellery group.

Addressing the thousands who had gathered at Asian Town, Bachchan, who was in Qatar for just a little over six hours, said in his famously deep baritone voice that his relationship with Kalyan Jewellers goes a long way and he was happy to endorse their products.

Other stars also addressed the audience in their own regional language to engage the crowd from different parts of India.

Kalyan Jewellers has announced a special 45 days inaugural campaign “Win 100 gms Gold Everyday” wherein customers stand a chance to win 100gm of gold daily by making a minimum purchase of QR500 from any showroom in Qatar.

    1. Hi Mandy,
Usually such lucky draws are held with permission and under the supervision of Qatar authorities. So there is no chance of not giving away the prizes. The winners lists are published at the outlets.
If they can afford to spend so many crores to bring these movie stars and advertise all around Qatar, giving away gold coins won’t be an issue. Jewellery sales is one of the most profitable businesses 🙂
