Qatar simplifies repatriation procedure for deceased expatriates


Qatar has simplified the long and tedious procedures involved for repatriation of deceased expatriates, by opening a new service centre.

All services related to the procedures for dispatching the bodies of people dying in Qatar to their home countries will now be available under one roof.

A unified Humanitarian Services Office for completing the procedures for dispatching dead bodies outside Qatar will be officially opened today, the Ministry of Interior has said.

New office behind Hamad General Hospital

The office behind Hamad General Hospital mortuary and close to Ritaj hotel behind the H R Department of HMC, will offer all services related to dispatching bodies outside Qatar and procedures for burial in Qatar,

According to a report on The Peninsula, people will no more be required to approach various departments of the Ministry of Interior, HMC and the Ministry of Public Health in various places for completing the procedures.

Services of the new office would be extremely beneficial for the expatriate communities in Qatar.

Staff Maj. General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director-General, Public Security, will open the office, in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Public Health and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
