Qatar’s healthcare sector has unveiled a new online portal where patients can access all up-to-date information about their medical records and to communicate with their doctors if needed.
The patient portal will allow patients to have access to their medical records such as the appointments scheduled, the medicines they are taking, medicines prescribed, recent interaction with the facility and outcomes of visits.
The portal, available at www.myhealth.qa, is linked to Qatar ID and requires one to register to have access to all of the defined areas. The team then mails a link to access MyHealth within three working days.
The website shows a single record of information irrespective of where the doctor was consulted – Hamad Medical Corporation or Primary Health Care Corporation.
The new portal also allows patients to view summary of their visits and post-appointment instructions. Patients will also have chance to inform healthcare providers about their allergies.
Parents of children below 18 years of age can also gain access to the information record and vaccination chart of their kids.
The free service is a value addition to the smart clinic system that aims for early detection of diseases.
