In the fifth recent incident of its kind, Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros, the exclusive dealers of Toyota and Lexus in Qatar, has been shut down by Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
The AAB showroom on Airport Road has been closed for one month for violating consumer protection laws, a tweet from MEC says.

The closure of the dealership, which took effect yesterday, May 28, also affects two Toyota dealers on Salwa Road – Altadamon Motors and Trading Co. and Al-Tariq Automobiles Trading Co.
As per the charges, the dealership has been selling cars to consumers as brand-new, without disclosing the accidents and repairs before sale.
However some industry sources say that these are not accidents, but minor scratches and dents that happen while transporting the cars on ships.
MEC maintains that they are violating Article 7 of Law No. 8 of 2008, by not informing the consumers about prior repairs.
In December 2014, two showrooms with Nissan, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram dealerships were closed for the same offense.
In all the above incidents, there have been public outrage in social media against the dealers.
